The smell of Christmas has a distinct mulled wine flavour ...

Success! Christmas party for the PSA on Thursday 15 December. The party will start at about 8 and Gan Aimn are going to provide some music. Mulled wine and food and you can bring your own beer if you like. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages available on the night. See you there.

amazing

they were there all along. This technology is weird.

Grrrrrr..................................

I have written two charming and fabulous posts and both of them are not there although blogger has assured me that my files have republished successfully. So just read An Focal, or email me because I've lost all patience now. I'm going for a fag.

Sugar and spice and all things nice ...

I've been told that my blog is very sarcastic and bitter [which to be honest, I don't really see] so I wrote a new post about two weeks ago that reflected the sunny and sweet side of my personality. Unfortunately, the defective kettle caused all the trip switches in the PSA to go - including the ones in my office. While I was in the middle of writing my light, frothy, joyous piece for blogger.com. I was mildly miffed to say the least, but upon much reflection, I've taken it as a sign. A sign that I should not be ashamed of the dark side of my personality, but rather embrace it. The computer shutting down and the loss of my saccarine sweet words indicated that I should be true to myself and continue as I did before. Bring on the bitterness!

But seriously though, I really didn't think it was that bad - it's just funny isn't it? Comments on a postcard please ...

So now what? What have I been doing since way back on 3th of November? Let me just check my calendar. Well, loads of things, Governing Authority, Academic Council and others. The PSA and the Graduate Studies Office ran a postgrad forum with a fairly disasterous turnout - the grand total of two other people. Ah well, you have to try don't you? We had a social night in the Stables and I still haven't got an answer about holding receptions in the PSA one month and 3 days after sending off the intitial letter. I've just rang a couple of people now and I've asked for the administrative secretary to get back to me today, so fingers crossed. I'll put another post on today if I do get an answer.

Oh, it's really cold and wet and fairly ick today. And it's Christmas Days in the Stables, three days this year with the closing of the Scholars and all that.

I've more stuff, but really there is a limit to how much you can read in one post, isn't there? I'm in the process of putting an Irish version of the website up though, so hopefully that will be operational in the New Year.

And I got my results for my thesis - happy days! So I'll be graduating 20 December and the PSA will be closed that week.

Oh I really hope that we get permission! Not least because I haven't got a fall back plan if we don't. Will keep you posted, but for now I'll love you and leave you.
